To Delinquent: I sped the beat up 10 bpm and recorded, then when I found out that wasn't allowed, I slowed it back down. That's probably where the distortion is coming from. Honestly though, I hate this beat anyway (wit ya slow, 85 bpm ass.... >_<)
To Broken-Needle: How are you going to talk about coming with hard lines? You were a first round elimination. THAT shows your skill. My vote's gotta go to Icon. The flow was smooth and was really easy to listen to and understand, and even though the lyrics were mostly just hyping yourself up, they were delivered really well. Mongoose, that singing thing is cool, but it seemed like you were trying to hard / overdoing it. It was interesting to listen to for the first 6 - 8 bars, but after that it just got old.
Honestly, this just didn't seem like a battle to me. Until the last 8, y'all could've just been a crew talking about how cool you are. Neither of you researched your opponent it seemed, so you weren't able to come hard with anything.
Looking forward to hearing either of you advance!
