oWow

I totally forgot we'd done this until a couple days ago. Wow. I can't believe how much better we've all gotten since this was originally recorded (other than you, Wyze. You cheated lol)

Glad to see Mickey's improved. It's good to look back at how he was v.s. how he is now and see the improvement.

I think we could've put more time into this though.

Regardless, I was glad to be a part of it.

Blasphem-E responds:

I'm a dirty cheating bastard. Honestly though, I didn't put a huge amount of effort in my rerecording. If I did this again, I would rewrite the lyrics. Yes, I was feeling it and put emotion on the track, but it was literally 10 minutes of effort.

Good working with you... Again. And Mickey too

You're engulfed in flames, sir

Amazing track. Only issues I had was your singing. You do it well, but you only show it at the end of the hook, so with the pauses it sounds kinda weak in the beginning which throws it off for me. Great flow, could've been longer, but sometimes an emcee's just gotta drop a short one, eh? Mayhap you're not used to doing Solo tracks?

5'd, DL'd, iPod'd

Burly responds:

Thank you sir. I generally keep solo's short because I really don't have a lot of time, and hearing my own voice rapped over two verses and three choruses usually gets annoying to me, idk. I feel like one verse is sufficient for this one really, even though I'm sure many feel otherwise. I'm also trying to reach people that don't listen to hiphop that much as well, they usually don't have large attention spans.

Oh, and yeah, this is one of my first true tests of singing on a track. Glad you liked it for the most part lol. I appriciate your support. Stay up man.

Nice

Your snaps could be higher, but this is good. Idk what you sampled, but it sounds tight. Seems like your bass kinda crosses the threshold. Maybe try hard limiting it? You've also got some crackling in there. Not sure if that's intentional. Overall, this is a really decent track. I'll probably extend it out for a friend to do a track on (unless he does it himself lol).

Will keep looking for more from you.

DL'd. iPod'd.

Is this supposed to be music? Why would you ever record yourself in this manner? If you're an emcee, like I guess you're claiming to be, then you should have LYRICS. I expected to hear some sort of SONG at some point, but no. This isn't a diss track, this isn't any round of anything. This is you failing at existing on a carbon-based plain over some lame beat you found on Limewire in an attempt to make yourself look cool. I've never listened to anything flashmac has done, but I imagine he makes better tracks than you. Why? Because they're ACTUALLY MUSIC.

So, once you and your homeboy get done sucking each others Souljah-dicks, PLEASE, go up to Charleston, SC and jump off the bridge. That's the ONLY fame you'll ever get in your sad, pathetic little lives.

fuck...

Ingest a phallice

This shit is bomb.

Love the guitar sample.

DJ-Delinquent responds:

ppfft

admit u love anime, ass masq t(-.-)

hmmm

Linx did well, but seemed to lose his flwo at times. I think you just need better mic quality / noise-removal possibly. You sound really hollow Wyze.

Good job with all else though. I'm diggin the lyrics and message.

Blasphem-E responds:

Ya, it does have a bit of a hollow sound. I'll see what I can do about that for the mixtaped version

I'd say

Delinquent:
Drums
Choir Sample
Background choir

Halcyon:
Melodic piano
Chimes
Synths

Haven't heard much of your work, Halcyon, so I'm probably off a tad, but you need to get some work on your Yin Yiu page goddammit.

Amazing track. 5'd, 10'd, DL'd, iPod'd.

Tell you what

This whole argument was started because electronic keyboards began to exist and interface with turntables. Before that, hip hop beats were specifically made from sampling other tracks and throwing a break beat on top, unless you had a live band to play anything.

Sampling is the most win art imaginable. If you can take a sound clip from something else (especially something your intended audience has heard) and give it a different story, a different feel, then you've made it a different piece of artwork entirely.

I hate to agree with Ses, but he's right about one thing. People need to get together and FIX this problem. If teh only way to do that is to get our own mainstream outlet (be it radio station or television channel) then that's what needs to happen. We need to bring REAL hip hop back in a big way.

But just talking about things won't get anything done. Let's start a hip hop movement to sweep the nation.

As always, good beat Delinquent. Not as busy as one is used to, but that made it easier to read the comments and with that as a base, really puts this piece into perspective.

DJ-Delinquent responds:

Im not sure about the first paragraph

becouse War Spawn ahd Sirhc7000 are prime examples of people who dont use Turned Tables

yet they sample Profoundly and regularly

agree with second paragraph

Lol Ses is right in his own way and is also in the right direction. But my method isnt to make money off the music itself, Becouse Rap music is my family. i wouldnt sell my own fam. but this Video Game thing looks promicing.

and my beat kicks beasty ass u looser t(-.-)

:D

OMFG!!

This song roflpwns all faces. Seriously, omfg Delinquent... you're too amazing to exist as a human.

Therefore, I've come to the conclusion that you'ree actually a Music Android sent by aliens to infect our ears with utter awesomeness.

...so... much... win......

DJ-Delinquent responds:

Dude STFU XDD

HAHAHA XDD

^_^

I don't like the pauses you've got going, kinda distracts, but I'm feelin the track.

Good choice on the beat, gettin better flowin. I'ma keep an eye on you now.

Broken-Needle responds:

lol cool, I wanted 2 give the track this feeling, I like the way it came out=D anyway glad i got ya eye lol
