All but perfect... so CLOSE

Damn Wyze, you're really putting more into your tracks lately! It's all starting to sound really pro (minus gasps and stuff).

Not really sure what put you onto this subject matter, perhaps just pulling topics out of a hat or something, but you really put it down like you're actually feeling it.

-1 for the minor lack of understandability from 1:26 to 1:36. I like the idea, but with a bit more time it could've been done better, which you show with your WELL DONE ad libs (better than I've ever heard from you).

The Mario and Sonic line kinda takes a bit away from the emotion by offering up imagery of childishness, but you get back into it quickly.

Fav line: "Fuck that hurts, but the pain's so real // They're tellin me to stop... No deal"

Good job brotha!

Blasphem-E responds:

Thanks man, I'll definitely try to fix that section in the next few days or so

Yoo....

Damn dude, this track is ill! Nice post!

Blasphem-E responds:

Thanks bro, glad you enjoy it

Looping this. Great job.

I love the feel of this track. It has me freestyle singing. You really kept it dynamic with the different patterns on the piano and levels. 10/10 5/5 Downloaded.

Stay up.

I just noticed this review now, and it made my day, seriously :D

Great Loop

I disagree with the reviewer below me though. This is nice and simple and the current state of the trumpets leaves room in the mid range for vocals.
The only thing that bugs me is the clap sounds really generic.
The shaker sounds pro though and the kick meshes with the trumpet superbly.
Great job .

L3CTRIX responds:

Thx man, I try to make the clap sound a lil bit more "wet."

OH SHIIIII

WTF MAN WHY YOU GOTTA B HATIN??? CAN'T YOU JUST REACH FOR THE TOP LIKE THE REST OF US??? :'(
lololol

MaoDaMighty responds:

CAPS LOCK OVERLOAD! In some cultures hate is a form of praise... I think.

Amazing

The transitions and dynamics in this track really keeps it interesting. Doesn't even get boring for a second. Just as soon as I think I know what's gonna come next, you totally flip the script! (3:12 is a great example) :D

Great job and good luck in the comp!!

haywirehaywire responds:

Thanks man.

Constructive Criticism

Lyrics:
Wyze - Your rhyme schemes are disgustingly amazing. You got a very intense point across in a stylish, complicated way without needing to twist the language.
N1k - You definitely played well to the Identity Crisis concept by referencing a lot of slightly conflicting topics. Well done.

Mixing:
Seems like you both mixed your vocals independently, which I feel detracts from the track as a whole and makes it sound more amateur than your skill implies. Best way is to choose who's better at mixing and give them the raw vox as a wav. Wyze, I can see why you'd wanna do something a tad different with your voice on bars 13 & 14, but instead of overdubbing, I'd recommend adding a bit of distortion and maybe a pan sweep to give your 'paranoid' line more effect.

Delivery:
Wyze - There's a couple spots where it's hard to understand what you're saying and it gets kinda slurry (:58 - 1:01, and your 15th bar).
N1k - On a couple lines you speed up the first word or two and sounds kinda crammed/forced. Could just be me.

Production:
It sounds to me like the mid-range is just a tad too cluttered in the backing track which doesn't allow the vocals to shine through as much. Sounds a tad muddy as a result. Other than that, love the bass line the best. Really gives the track it's energy and feeds into the lyrics (or the other way around, lol).

Overall, great job guys. This is the best work I've ever heard from either of you.
Stay up!

Blasphem-E responds:

Excellent review Josh. Agreed on all counts, I'll try that out with the pan sweep

Nailed it.

Damn pimpin, I just listened to this like 25 times in a row. This is disgustingly good, sir. ill bill would definitely dig this.

We run this bitch.

Gimi a call when u get this...

Whoa

You did an excellent job of taking the samples and making them your own, that's for sure. The dynamics of your drops really draw the listener in and keep it fresh. When the intro sample comes back in @ 2:51, it's like a slap back to reality once again. Also, the mid range seems uncluttered, which makes this track perfect for an emcee to accompany.
Stellar job, sir.

GunstarGreene responds:

Thanks

Funkay

I'm really diggin this. It's got a jazzy, futuristic vibe that flows so well, yet your cuts of the samples give a choppy kind of feel which only adds to the amazingly unorthodox drum line.

This track is beast. Would def like to put some words on it.

Methreee responds:

hey thanks much for the feedback. I might hit you up about getting on it.
